Step Summer

My Review

All I have to say is YES Tanya! Everything that I wish A Slippery Slope (the only other book of hers I read) had more of, Step Summer totally made up for!

She put the sex in sexy with this one. I enjoy a good taboo or forbidden romance from time to time, and Tanya did a great job tackling the intense attraction between McKenna and Blake. Who just so happen to be step siblings.

So I have to admit, when I first heard this book was coming out I had read a teaser that was online. When the synopsis came out I briefly scanned it (and when I say briefly I mean briefly) I was like sure I’ll check it out. It wasn’t until I got to the part where Blake and Makenna see each other and her reaction towards him that I think Why is she acting that way? Also why is it called Step Summer?I swear to god my eyes completely missed the part that said that they are siblings. Step siblings (hence the title) but siblings none the less.

Needless to say I felt stupid.

I’ve said this before and I doubt it will be the last time you’ll hear me say it but as much as I love it when the leads finally get together, I love it more when the burn and sexual tension builds so much prior to them getting together. Even if it’s just their first kiss. And let me tell you, it wasn’t only just Blake & Makenna’s burning need to be with one another that has me kinda hot and bothered. No, when they finally give into temptation, ignoring the fact that they are step siblings, that had me like woah and experiencing FOMO.

Not in the I want to have a threesome with them type of way. More in the damn I’m not getting any and wish I wastype of FOMO.

From beaches and ocean views to sizzling passion and hot hookups, Step Summer has all the things you could ask for in a summer read. With a romance that you may judge from the outside but root for on the inside, it begs the question of how will Blake & McKenna be able to make their relationship work? I have NO idea but if they manage to somehow make it work and say to hell with everyone else & their opinions, well kudos to them.

Final Rating: 4 Sunny Stars
