Archer’s Voice by Mia Sheridan

My Review

Oh sweet Archer Hale…

How ye have seeped into thy cold heart, and warmed it so.

From your air of mystery to your silent screams,

You have seared yourself into mind forever.

Okay I’m done being corny. But on the real, though, my boy Archer has made it into my Hall of Fame of book boyfriends. Maybe it’s because I have a soft spot for the underdogs, or as my mom once told me “You like to take in the projects”, but I was instantly intrigued with this silent, small towner just like Bree was.

Taking place in your usual quint small town, this time set in Maine, Bree Prescott is on a quest to unwind and recharge from her past that she left in Ohio. Days after an embarrassing encounter with a silent stranger, on a walk from the beach her dog runs through a gate that leads her straight to said stranger. Gotta love dogs, right?

Heartfelt Highlights

You can’t hear me…I can’t help that.He looked down for a second and then back up at me. But I want you to see me.An expression of vulnerability washed over his face. Now you can see me.       -Archer, p. 109

What I know,is that you walked through my gate that day, and I lost my heart. But not because it could have been any girl-because it was you.I lost my heart to you. And, Bree, in case you’re wondering, I don’t ever want it back.          -Archer, p. 336
